GameEx Theme Maker

Image Export Process:

The pros of Gimp are that: it's free! The drawbacks - some missing functionality. Particular to the process below, you have to manually tick each visibility eye icon to show/hide layers/layer groups. I can't find a shortcut to do this quicker.

Step 1: Export Folder Structure and single layer images:

Export Layers to your theme root folder using the settings below. All other layers/layer groups should be made invisible. Only the “MEDIA” layer group should be visible. You can toggle the visibility of components therein, but only really advisable in the “LOGOS” layer group as the others are core Gameex images.

Step 2: Export individually sized Media folder items

Make all Layer Groups visible under “Export as Layer Size.” Ensure other layer groups are invisible. Ensure you save to [YourTheme]>Media. Use the Export Layers settings below:

Step 3: Export full sized Media folder items:

Make all Layer Groups visible under “Export as Image Size.” Ensure other layer groups are invisible. Ensure you save to [YourTheme]>Media. Use the Export Layers settings below:

Step 4: Export Created Logos:

Make the Logo images visible that you want in your theme. All other layers/layer groups to be invisible. Ensure you set an image and image size in “[LOGOS BG]” and make it visible - this will form the default image size for your logo pngs. Save to [YourTheme}>Logos:

Step 5: Export Foregrounds

You can skip this step if not using foregrounds. Again, don't forget to tick the background layer in “[FOREGROUND BG]”

Step 6: Export Backgrounds:

As above. Select all the background layer groups you want to export, and don't forget to tick the background layer in “[BACKGROUNDS BG]”
